GS1 Application Identifiers
GS1 Application Identifiers (AIs) provide additional attributes that must be shared amongst Supply Chain partners over and above the fixed information accessed through GS1 Identification keys. Application Identifiers convey a wide range of information which include:
- use by dates
- batch numbers
- serial numbers
- consignment identification
- consignor/consignee
- Purchase Order/Invoice Number
