GS1 Company Prefix allocation

Each subscriber company is allocated a GS1 Company Prefix (GCP). Using this prefix number, subscriber companies are in a position to generate the full range of GS1 keys for identification of their products, assets, locations etc. These keys can be used in Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies like barcodes and RFID.

GS1 India allocates and administers the GS1 Company Prefix (GCP) numbers it provides to its subscriber companies.
